Events

Rules & Procedure for Prelims:
a. The Prelims can be held via Quizizz and will contain 15 Questions.
b. There will be some starred questions which will be clearly mentioned.
c. Starred Questions don’t carry extra points but they will be considered for Tie-breakers. If the Starred Questions equal out, then time taken and sudden death methods will be incorporated to narrow down to the Semi-Finalists.
d. Each Question will be timed and players exceeding the time limit will not be given marks for the respective questions.
e. The Top 100 Players after a thorough check and processing of results will be deemed as the Semi-Finalists unless any of them can’t attend the same.
f. The Questions will be thoroughly checked and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard unless there is solid evidence of a mistake/misinterpretation in the Questions.

Rules & Procedure for Semi-Finals:
a. The Semi-Finals can be held via Microsoft Forms in conjunction with a video conferencing platform and will contain 15-20 Questions.
b. The Questions will be screened via a Video Conferencing Platform and the players shall respond via the given form.
c. There will be some starred questions which will be clearly mentioned.
d. Similar Tie-Breaker Mechanisms shall be followed as the Prelims.
e. The Form will be timed and players exceeding the time limit will not be permitted to respond in the form.
f. The Top 6 Players after a thorough check and processing of results will be deemed as the Finalists unless any of them can’t attend the Grand Finale.

Rules & Procedure for Grand Finale:
a. The Grand Finale can be held via a video conferencing platform or by physical means.
b. The Finals will consist of 3-4 rounds of questions directed at all players, ensuring everyone gets a fair chance at the Quiz.
c. Rules will be specific to the rounds and will be displayed prior to each round.
d. It is recommended to stay muted unless required if the event happens via a video conferencing platform.
e. In case the event happens via a video conferencing platform, it is also required by all participants to keep their videos on through the entire proceedings of the event. This encourages fair play among participants and is only in the best interest of the Quiz.
f. In such case when the organisers decide to host the Grand Finale Online, it is the sole responsibility of the Players to equip themselves with reliable internet connection and do all things necessary in such regard. Organisers will not be liable to any losses in the form of points, prizes or even disqualification in certain cases.
g. The Scoreboard will be displayed occasionally through the Finale and the scoreboard will be final.
h. Scores secured in Preliminary and Semi-Finals rounds are only qualifying in nature and DO NOT count/add up to the scores of the Grand Finale.
